Our story

Two friends’ dreams realized in the end of 2006 when we bought our first cattle with the clear determination of becoming the most excellent Charolais breeders of Central Europe.

 

We acquired our initial Charolais breeding stock in 2009. Since then almost 100 animals arrived to our breeding farm from France. Our 90 cows can be considered a strong genetic foundation. We’ve taken our part in both the arrangement and carry-out of transferring hundreds of individuals to domestic and foreign breeding farms, therefore by today breeding animal export-import is included in our portfolio. On our journey we became acquainted with a profoundly different culture and we’ve gained a vast amount of experience. We consider forming a sphere of trust with internationally recognized French breeders where true friendship can form through the medium of business an incalculable value.

Healthy eating has become more and more a key value for us recently so our need has formed to make organically raised, dry-aged beef available in our country for those intereseted, also taking into consideration the gastronomical and enjoyment values.

 

Today, the brand NPK Charolais conveys the importance of both breeding and gastronomical aspects.

In 2014 the NPK Charolais farm launched its own meat processing plant under the name NPK Beef, following these principles and with the mission dubbed “Eat Better Beef”, utilizing the dry-age process due to its curiosity and under French influence. Our best selling products include hamburger patties, steaks, BBQ products, carcass meat and of course finished products (ham, salami, wiener, bologna, liver paté, beef fat, beef greaves, etc.).

In 2015 we went online with our products among the first in our field with nationwide delivery as a webshop (https://npkbeef.com) that continues to satisfactorily serve our fans. Aside our webshop, the NPK Beef products can be bought or sampled in many domestic delis, restaurants, street food places and webshops. As the need for our products continued to grow and the opportunities arose, we became regular invitees of sports events and smaller festivals as an exhibitor and as a caterer as well. This way we gained substantial experience in catering and hospitality too.

In the first half of 2020 another dream of ours came true: We realized our farm to table program as we opened our first food truck in the car park of the Budapest Congress Center (1-3. Jagelló str. Budapest 1123), the NPK Beef – Steak&Burger where we offer not only meals like burgers, sandwiches and hot-dogs, but our own butcher’s meat products are also available for purchase. Our expressed mission is to promote and aid fellow domestic producers by redistributing their products and using them in our meals as ingredients. These products include cheeses, chili, spices, coffee, teas, jams etc.

In the end of 2020 we opened our second food truck on Budaörsi rd. named Steak Trezor, following the same ideology as our first one but with an additional permanent business premise that acts as a delicatesse as well! In peacetime this place can create the bistro vibes for our guests.

 

We hope it can be sensed from multiple angles that our dedication, love and respect to the people, the animals and the fertile field are essential guiding factors of who we are. We think that serving people by our value-creating activity is an exceptional opportunity in our lives for which we are grateful beyond measure.
